Progreso Foundation and SOS Fund to work in Ghana, Indonesia and Uganda!
Progreso Foundation and SOS Fund have extended their collaboration drastically since the beginning of this year.
The joint work started in Mbale, Uganda and the goal was to support a local coffee cooperative – CoffeeACup – in their endeavours to increase the soil fertility of their farmers. The report of this initial collaboration can be found here Report Progreso.
It was so succesful that the Ugandan model is now being rolled out to Indonesia and Ghana!
Our partners of Soil & More Intl. went to visit two cooperatives in Ghana and Indonesia in October to conduct the initial soil sampling together with local partners. They are currently waiting for the results of the soil analyses and will then produce a report similar to the one for Uganda.
Based on the provided recommendations further project activities will be designed to support the cooperatives in increasing their soils health for the long run.
